Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Oncology - Ft Worth, TX. Drive demand for BMS medicines within an oncology portfolio across a defined territory, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue and a strong customer experience aligned with label indications.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and develops scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations aligned with product labeling.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics with approved speakers.
  • Keeps up-to-date on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Provides real-time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience and shares insights with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to deliver differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
  • Experience in Oncology preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with demonstrated performance.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent professional experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales or related field.
