Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Oncology β€šΓ„Γ¬ DC Metro District. The TAS is a field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within oncology through scientific engagement with health care providers, building credibility with regional thought leaders and practitioners, and delivering a differentiated customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains deep scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs; engages real-time medical support as needed.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure a high customer experience and complies with laws and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree; or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to deliver differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork, and a positive, can-do attitude.

Skills

  • Scientific agility; ability to present complex information clearly and stay current with latest data.
  • Analytical capability to interpret data, segment HCPs, and plan targeted engagements; proficiency with CE^3 for insights.
  • Technological agility with digital communications and CRM tools; ability to leverage Medical on Call effectively.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based position requiring travel and 100% time in the field with external customers.
  • Possession of a valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and ability to operate a company-provided vehicle (driver eligibility criteria apply).
