Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience, MS - Seattle, WA. The TAS is a critical field-based role responsible for driving demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging health care providers with a differentiated customer experience, and building credible relationships with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and uses approved resources to present information to HCPs with medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal customer experience and shares insights internally to serve customers better.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to delivering a differentiated customer experience.
  • Neurology experience is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and history of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong promotional skills and a track record of performance.
