Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience, MS – Seattle, WA. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within a defined territory by engaging Health Care Providers with scientific dialogue and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
  • Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans, and provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and maintains current knowledge on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Provides real-time medical support through Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience for HCPs; shares insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
  • Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers and colleagues through a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a history of performance.
