Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience, MS - Seattle, WA. This role is field-based and focuses on driving demand for BMS medicines within the assigned portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with scientific dialogue and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx). The TAS builds credibility with regional thought leaders and clinicians, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving business results.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
- Maintains/grows high scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations aligned with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selects speakers from approved lists, and manages scheduling/logistics.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
- Provides real-time medical support through Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
- Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience and shares insights with stakeholders.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience (healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse).
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
- Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create positive Customer Experience (Cx).
- Experience in Neurology is preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a performance track record.
