Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) in Neuroscience (MS) engages HCPs to drive adoption of BMS medicines for appropriate patients, delivering a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue and CE^3. This field-based role builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and impactful use of BMS products.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs in a medically accurate manner.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with the label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications and supports real-time medical inquiries via Medical on Call.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights internally.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree; or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Strong credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Neurology experience preferred.
  • Proven account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong promotional/selling skills with a proven performance track record.

Education
