Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience, MS - Portland OR. The TAS is a field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, and delivering an overall high Customer Experience. The position emphasizes advancing appropriate patient care, building credibility with regional thought leaders and clinicians, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains deep scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and executes territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call planning, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related information consistent with labeling.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics with approved speakers.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; coordinates with Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience for HCPs and shares relevant insights internally.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and proactive attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance history.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent; specialized training in neuroscience is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Operation of a Company-provided vehicle; valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and satisfactory driving record required.
