Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience/MS (TAS) in field role, focused on engaging Health Care Providers to drive adoption of BMS medicines and deliver a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue and label-consistent information. 100% field-based with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and uses approved resources to present information to HCPs with medical accuracy.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience for HCPs.
  • Engages with RTLs and community-based physicians/HCPs, building credibility and maintaining high scientific competence across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs with approved speakers, handling scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains working expertise on emerging data for approved indications and provides real-time medical support as needed.
  • Gathers and shares insights internally to improve service to customers and ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement to deliver higher Customer Experience (Cx).

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support physicians in patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to delivering differentiated Cx.
  • Neurology experience preferred; strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a results-focused orientation.
  • Legal driver requirements: eligible to operate a Company-provided vehicle (21+, valid license, acceptable driving risk per company).

Skills

  • Customer/commercial mindset, data-driven insights, and ability to analyze prescribing patterns and market trends.
  • Technological agility in healthcare communications and CRM tools (e.g., CE^3).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex data for HCPs.
  • Teamwork, integrity, and sound judgment; learning agility and adaptability.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree (required or strongly preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based occupancy; ability to travel to visit customers and attend meetings as directed.
