Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience/MS (TAS) in Albany, NY. Drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging health care providers with a differentiated customer experience and scientific dialogue, while prioritizing safe and appropriate product use and achieving business results.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and uses approved resources to present information to HCPs with medical accuracy.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Creates demand for medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to inform call plans and provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs, ensuring alignment with approved speakers and logistics.
  • Engages with real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Gathers and shares insights with internal stakeholders to better serve customers; complies with all laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Demonstrates advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Communicates scientific data accurately to help physicians serve patients; maintains credibility with key customers and office staff.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred; strong account management and selling competencies; proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals; cross-functional collaboration; strong integrity and judgment.
  • Operates with a customer-centric mindset to deliver a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
  • Demonstrated credibility with key customers and the ability to build relationships across the patient care journey.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling skills, and a proven track record of achieving goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong data-driven decision making and comfort with technology and CRM tools (CE^3, etc.).
  • Driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and ability to operate a company-provided vehicle (21+ years old, in good standing).
