Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Neuroscience/MS (TAS) based in Albany, NY. The TAS is a field-based role focused on engaging Health Care Providers (HCPs) with scientific dialogue and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) to drive adoption of BMS medicines for appropriate patients. Builds credibility with regional thought leaders and various HCP stakeholders, prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise using approved resources to present information to HCPs with medical accuracy.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Engages in in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs, selects speakers from approved lists, and facilitates scheduling/logistics.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Provides real-time medical support through Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Gathers and shares insights internally to enable better servicing of customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to deliver higher Customer Experience (Cx).

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians.
  • Strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer network; customer-centric mindset to create differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in Neurology is preferred.
  • Proven account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance history.

Skills

  • Customer/commercial mindset; data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying scientific/clinical data to HCPs.
  • Analytical capability to interpret data on prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences.
  • Technological proficiency with CE^3 and CRM tools for data collection and dynamic call planning.
  • Adaptability to use digital channels (email, messaging, video conferencing) for engagement.
  • Strong integrity and judgment to navigate policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to manage a company-provided vehicle and meet driver requirements.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree required; pharmaceutical/biotech experience considered.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring 100% time in the field with external customers.
  • On-site presence or travel as part of essential job functions depending on occupancy design.
