Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) in Neuroscience to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging HCPs through scientific dialogue and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience. Field-based role focused on building credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs to prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demand Creation: Articulate the clinical and scientific rationale for product use to create demand in appropriate patients.
  • Scientific Expertise: Maintain high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Territory/Account Planning: Prepare and implement comprehensive territory plans.
  • Leverage CE^3: Use CE^3 tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Present information with medical accuracy using approved resources; conduct in-office presentations and organize speaker programs as needed.
  • Real-time Medical Support: Engage Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other field teams and share insights to improve Customer Experience.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Required: Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Required: Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Required: Demonstrated credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to deliver a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in Psychiatry.
  • Required: Strong account management and selling competencies with a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Required: Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
