Position: Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TA: Psychiatry)
Position Summary
- Field-based role (anticipated 100% time in the field with external customers) to drive demand for BMS medicines by delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based HCPs/stakeholders as primary point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications in assigned territory/region; create demand using balanced clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; prepare and implement territory/account plans; use CE^3 (once implemented) for insights and dynamic call planning and provide feedback.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Use approved resources to present accurate information; conduct in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs; stay current on emerging data; respond to unsolicited questions via Medical on Call.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally; comply with applicable laws/regulations/policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharma/biotech healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse roles.
- Ability to communicate clinical/scientific data accurately; build credibility with customers; account management + superior selling competence with proven performance; cross-functional effectiveness; strong promotional selling skills.
Preferred
- Neurology experience.

Compensation
- $139,230β$168,714 (field, US).
