Position Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role (anticipated 100% in the field) driving adoption of BMS medicines by creating demand and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper, label-consistent scientific dialogue with Health Care Providers (HCPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications in the assigned territory/region to meet/exceed compliant sales targets.
- Create demand by articulating balanced clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Build and maintain scientific expertise; prepare and implement territory and account plans.
- Use CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Present approved scientific information accurately; conduct in-office presentations.
- Organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau-approved) including scheduling/logistics.
- Stay current on emerging data; use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions/technical inquiries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and share insights internally; comply with applicable laws/regulations/policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated credibility with key customers/HCP networks.
- Neurology experience preferred.
- Proven account management, selling competencies, and performance meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.
