Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology supporting Spokane, WA. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines, engaging HCPs with scientific dialogue, and delivering a differentiated customer experience in the hematology portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains working knowledge on emerging data for approved indications and supports real-time medical inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to optimize customer experience and shares insights with stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct at BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to assist physicians in serving patients.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with key customers and others in the influence network; customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance record.
