Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS), Hematology, is a field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within a defined territory by engaging Health Care Providers with scientifically grounded dialogue, building credibility with regional thought leaders, and delivering a differentiated customer experience to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and expands scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue through in-office presentations and patient-focused discussions aligned with label information.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling/logistics with approved speakers.
  • Keeps up-to-date with emerging data for approved indications; collaborates with Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure optimal customer experience and shares insights with stakeholders; complies with laws and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to clinicians; credibility with key customers and office staff.
  • Experience in Oncology; strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset; strong promotional skills.
