Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Queens, NY. The TAS is a field-based role that drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue to support adoption of medicines. Builds credibility with regional thought leaders and other HCPs, prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver an enhanced customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and facilitates scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains working expertise on emerging data for approved indications; engages Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience and shares insights with appropriate stakeholders; complies with laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience (sales/MSL/HCP/nurse).
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and strong selling/promotional skills.

Education
