Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology (TAS) drives demand for BMS medicines within a defined territory by engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, promoting appropriate patient use, and delivering a high-quality customer experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Leverages tools like CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs aligned with approved guidelines.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience and complies with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and ability to deliver a differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based role; 100% time in the field with external customers.
  • Eligibility to operate a company-provided vehicle; meets company driver requirements (age, license, driving risk level).
