Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Knoxville, TN/Chattanooga, TN. Territory includes Knoxville and Chattanooga. The TAS is a field-based role that drives demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue to support appropriate patient use and to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintain and grow a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Use CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct fair and balanced scientific dialogue with HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy and adherence to label guidance.
  • Perform in-office presentations and discuss product-related scientific information with HCPs.
  • Organize external speaker programs and coordinate logistics with approved speakers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engage real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other field teams to deliver a high Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Gather and share insights with internal stakeholders to improve customer service; comply with all laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to deliver a differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in Hematology/Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance history.
