Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines within an assigned territory for appropriate patients by delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs), community physicians/HCPs, office staff, and other stakeholders; serve as primary point of contact.
- Field-based role; expected to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion:
- Promote approved indications to meet or exceed assigned sales targets compliantly.
- Create demand by articulating clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain/grow scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement territory and account plans.
- Use CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue:
- Present approved scientific resources/publications accurately and in accordance with medical accuracy and label.
- Conduct in-office presentations and discuss label-consistent scientific information.
- Organize external speaker programs (selection, scheduling, logistics).
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications; engage Medical on Call for real-time support.
- Cross-functional collaboration:
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure best Cx; gather/share insights internally.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset.
- Hematology/Oncology experience required.
- Account management skills; proven track record meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with positive, can-do attitude.
