Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) in Hematology serves as a field-based expert to engage Health Care Providers (HCPs), drive adoption of BMS medicines, and deliver a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue aligned with product labels. The role emphasizes developing professional credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians, collaborating across functions to meet HCP needs, and prioritizing safe, appropriate use of BMS products while achieving business results.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs in a medically accurate manner; conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; facilitates real-time medical support as needed.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure optimal Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs and shares relevant insights internally.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance track record.

Education

  • Operation of a Company-provided vehicle; valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and satisfactory driving risk level as determined by the Company.
  • Field-based role with 100% time in the field with external customers.
