Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Charlotte, NC. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, and delivering a high-quality Customer Experience (Cx) in hematology oncology settings. Territory includes Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Hickory. 100% time in the field with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains deep scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Provides medical accuracy in presentations to HCPs using approved resources and publications.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages with Medical on Call for real-time medical support as needed.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to enhance Customer Experience for HCPs.
  • Gathers and shares insights internally to improve serving customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree; or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey scientific data clearly to HCPs.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with customers and deliver a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Experience engaging with customers across the patient care journey; understanding patient journey and customizing engagement.
  • Patient-focused mindset; data analysis skills to inform strategy and targeting.
  • Ability to segment HCPs and tailor communications; understanding and interpretation of clinical data.
  • Proficiency with CE^3 and CRM tools; ability to collect and manage data compliantly; use of Medical on Call technology.
  • Strong business acumen and integrity to navigate role requirements.
