Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Atlanta North, GA. The TAS is a field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the hematology portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, and delivering a high-quality Customer Experience (Cx) aligned with label guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Present information to HCPs using medical resources and publications, ensuring medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs, coordinating scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Contacts Medical on Call for real-time medical support and to answer unsolicited questions.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to optimize Customer Experience for HCPs.
  • Gathers and shares insights with internal stakeholders to improve service to customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey scientific data clearly to HCPs.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with key customers and deliver a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Experience engaging across the patient care journey and tailoring engagement accordingly.
  • Patient-focused mindset with data analysis skills to inform strategy (prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences).
  • Ability to segment HCPs and tailor communications; proficiency with CE^3 and CRM tools.
  • Experience using digital communication channels to stay connected with healthcare professionals and colleagues.
  • High integrity and good judgment; ability to comply with company policies.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree; relevant pharma/biotech experience preferred.
