Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Hematology - Atlanta North, GA. The TAS drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue and ensuring a high-quality Customer Experience (Cx). This field-based role prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products while delivering results and upholding BMS values.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and enhances scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise using approved resources and publications to present information to HCPs with medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs in alignment with the label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from approved lists and managing scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience for HCPs.
  • Gathers and shares relevant insights with appropriate stakeholders to better serve customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Experience in Oncology required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey scientific data clearly to HCPs.
  • Strong credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Proven account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Experience engaging with customers across the patient care journey and understanding the patient journey to tailor engagement.
  • Data analysis ability to interpret prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences to guide strategy.
  • Ability to segment HCPs and tailor communications accordingly.
  • Proficiency with CE^3 and CRM tools to manage data, track interactions, and plan engagements.
  • Ability to operate Medical on Call technology effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and integrity to navigate policy requirements.
