Position Summary
The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role responsible for driving demand for BMS medicines within the Cardiovascular portfolio for appropriate patients by engaging HCPs through differentiated Customer Experience (Cx), deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, and leveraging new ways of working and CE^3.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets compliantly; create demand with balanced clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; prepare and implement territory/account plans; use SOPHIA for insights and dynamic call planning; provide tool experience feedback to leadership.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Present approved scientific resources/publications with medical accuracy; conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns); organize external speaker programs (Speakers Bureau approved lists, scheduling/logistics); stay current on emerging data; use Medical on Call to answer unsolicited and complex technical inquiries.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other field teams for best HCP Customer Experience; share insights internally with stakeholders.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility with customers and desire to create differentiated Cx.
- Cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Account management and selling competencies; proven performance meeting/exceeding goals.
- Cross-functional effectiveness with positive team mindset.
