Role Summary
The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role focused on driving demand and adoption of BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio. The TAS engages Health Care Providers with a differentiated, scientifically rigorous Customer Experience (Cx), builds credibility with regional thought leaders and medical professionals, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and business results.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
- Maintains and grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Uses tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs; ensures medical accuracy and aligns with label.
- Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; provides real-time medical support as needed.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure a high Customer Experience and shares insights with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience (sales/MSL/HCP/nurse).
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create differentiated Cx.
- Experience in cardiovascular field preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, can-do attitude.

Education
- Advanced scientific degree recommended; otherwise 5+ years in relevant pharmaceutical/biotech roles.
Additional Requirements
- Operation of a company-provided vehicle; valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
- Ability to travel and spend significant time in field-based engagements with external customers.
