Role Summary
The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Cardiovascular Specialty in Birmingham, AL drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers through a differentiated customer experience and scientific dialogue to promote appropriate patient use. The role is field-based and prioritizes safe, compliant product use while delivering strong business results.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
- Maintains and grows high-level scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Utilizes tools (e.g., SOPHIA) to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs, ensuring medical accuracy and alignment with label.
- Collaborates with other field teams to optimize the Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights internally.
- Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
- Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
- Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.

Education
