Position Summary
- Drive demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines in appropriate patients by delivering a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue consistent with label, leveraging CE^3 and new ways of working.
- Build and maintain credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians/HCPs as primary point of contact.
- Liaise with other BMS functions to meet HCP needs timely and scientifically; prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products while meeting business results.
- Field-based; anticipated to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion: Promote approved indications to meet/exceed assigned sales targets; create demand using balanced clinical/scientific rationale; maintain/grow scientific expertise; prepare territory/account plans; use CE^3 insights to inform call plans and share feedback.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue: Use approved resources accurately; conduct compliant in-office presentations; organize external speaker programs; stay current on emerging data; engage Medical on Call for unsolicited questions/technical inquiries.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with field teams; share relevant insights internally.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech experience as healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Demonstrated credibility-building with key customers and office staff.
- Cardiovascular experience required.
- Account management and selling competencies with proven sales performance.
- Cross-functional effectiveness and positive, can-do attitude.
