Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Sacramento, CA. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging health care providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and expands scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools such as CE^3/SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue, conducts in-office presentations, and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data and collaborates with Medical on Call for real-time support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure optimal customer experience and shares insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP roles, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and delivering a differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular fields preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.

Education
