Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Sacramento, CA. Field-based role focusing on promoting BMS medicines to health care providers, driving scientific engagement, and delivering a differentiated customer experience within the cardiovascular portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise in presenting information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related information consistent with the label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics; stays current with emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience and shares relevant insights internally.
  • Adheres to all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to create differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular areas preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance track record.
