Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Sacramento, CA. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with scientific dialogue, and delivering a differentiated Customer Experience to support appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains scientific expertise across assigned products and therapies; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as CE^3 and SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs in line with approved materials and guidelines.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; coordinates with Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure a high Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP roles, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to delivering a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a collaborative, can-do attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance history.

Education

  • Any advanced scientific degree; relevant clinical or scientific background preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Position requires operation of a company-provided vehicle; must meet Qualified Driver requirements (age 21+, valid license, acceptable driving risk).
