Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Sacramento, CA. Field-based role promoting BMS medicines within a defined territory, engaging Health Care Providers with scientific dialogue and a differentiated customer experience to drive adoption for appropriate patients.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintains and enhances scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Utilizes tools (e.g., CE^3, SOPHIA) to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue in in-office presentations and discussions with HCPs, aligned with product labels.
- Organizes external speaker programs, managing scheduling and logistics with approved speakers.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications and collaborates with Medical on Call for real-time support.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with field teams to enhance Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights with stakeholders.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
- Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create positive Customer Experience.
- Experience in cardiovascular is preferred.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a track record of performance.

Education
