Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Sacramento, CA. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated scientific dialogue, and delivering a high-quality Customer Experience in alignment with label and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
- Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Uses tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents medical information to HCPs consistent with label; conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs with approved speakers; stays current with emerging data.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with other field teams to optimize the Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights internally.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
- Strong credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create positive Customer Experience.
- Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
- Demonstrated account management skills, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance track record.
