Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Palm Bay, FL. The TAS drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engages Health Care Providers with a differentiated Customer Experience, builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs, and collaborates across functions to deliver high-quality Customer Experience while prioritizing the safe and appropriate use of BMS products.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
  • Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Proactively uses tools such as CE^3 to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs in a medically accurate manner; conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains working expertise on emerging data for approved indications; collaborates with Medical on Call to address questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal Customer Experience for HCPs; shares insights with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with key customers and create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular fields preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree (required) or equivalent; additional qualifications in pharmaceutical/biotech fields considered.

Additional Requirements

  • Operation of a company-provided vehicle; requires meeting the company's Qualified Driver requirements (e.g., age, license in good standing, acceptable driving risk).
