Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Oregon. The TAS is a critical field-based role that engages Health Care Providers to drive adoption of BMS medicines, delivering a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue and collaboration with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and expands scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas; prepares and implements territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs, conducts in-office presentations, and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; engages Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure a high customer experience and shares insights with stakeholders to better serve customers.
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP roles, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and delivering a differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with proven performance.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Operates a Company-provided vehicle; must meet Qualified Driver requirements (age 21+, valid driver's license, acceptable driving risk).
