Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Oregon. This field-based role focuses on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio through scientific engagement with healthcare providers, delivering a differentiated customer experience, and building credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools such as CE^3 and SOPHIA to inform call plans and derive insights; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations aligned with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics; maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Provides real-time medical support through Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure the best customer experience and shares insights with stakeholders to improve service.
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies governing company conduct.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric approach to delivering a differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular field preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills demonstrated through performance.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience; cardiovascular experience preferred.
