Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Knoxville, TN. The TAS drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engages HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience, and builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs. The role is field-based and involves substantial external customer interaction to deliver a high-quality Customer Experience while meeting business targets.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses tools such as SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise in presenting information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product information consistent with label.
  • Organizes external speaker programs and coordinates scheduling and logistics; maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; engages Medical on Call for real-time support.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience; gathers and shares insights with stakeholders to better serve customers.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Qualifications

  • Required: Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve their patients.
  • Demonstrated credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create positive Customer Experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular is preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with a performance history.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Operation of a Company-provided vehicle is required; eligibility as a Qualified Driver includes minimum age, valid license, and acceptable driving risk level.
