Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community, CV Colorado S, CO. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated, science-driven customer experience, and promoting appropriate use of products.
Responsibilities
- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products in appropriate patients.
- Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Proactively uses tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provide feedback to leadership to enable continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs with medical accuracy; conducts in-office presentations and discusses product-related scientific information consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs and facilitates scheduling and logistics; maintains knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages real-time medical support to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
- Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience for HCPs and shares insights with internal stakeholders.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing conduct.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to help physicians serve patients.
- Experience building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
- Experience in cardiovascular required.
- Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven performance record.

Education
- Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements
- Field-based occupancy; 100% time in the field with external customers.
- Ability to operate a Company-provided vehicle; valid driver's license and other driver requirements as determined by the Company.
