Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community, CV Brooklyn, NY. Field-based role focused on driving demand for BMS medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated customer experience, and prioritizing safe and appropriate use of products while delivering business results.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains/grows a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Delivers fair and balanced scientific dialogue with HCPs, conducts in-office presentations, and organizes external speaker programs while ensuring medical accuracy and alignment with label.
  • Maintains up-to-date understanding of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engages real-time medical support to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other field teams to enhance the customer experience and shares insights with stakeholders.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately to physicians.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and delivering a differentiated customer experience.
  • Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with proven performance.
