Role Summary

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Cardiovascular, Community (Charlotte, NC) drives demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio by engaging Health Care Providers with a differentiated customer experience, focusing on scientific dialogue and appropriate patient selection. The role is field-based and requires spending 100% of time in the field with external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and expands a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents information to HCPs that is medically accurate and consistent with label.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs within approved guidelines.
  • Maintains current knowledge of emerging data for approved indications; coordinates with Medical on Call for real-time medical support.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other field teams to optimize the customer experience and shares insights with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers, staff, and others in the customer network; customer-centric mindset with a focus on differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).
  • Experience in cardiovascular required.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset and a proactive attitude; strong selling and promotional skills.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license; ability to operate a company-provided vehicle where required.
  • On-site/field-work capability; travel as part of the role.
