Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Bronx, NY. The TAS is a field-based role that focuses on driving demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients, engaging health care providers with a differentiated customer experience, and maintaining scientific credibility across assigned products and therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains and expands scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses CE^3 tools to derive insights and inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Engages in scientific dialogue with HCPs and ensures medical accuracy in presentations.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs within approved guidelines.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emerging data for approved indications and supports real-time medical questions via Medical on Call.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure a high Customer Experience (Cx) and shares insights with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP roles, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in cardiovascular fields preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive, collaborative mindset.

Education

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to operate a company-provided vehicle and meet driver qualifications as determined by the company.
  • Remote work readiness; field-based position with 100% time in the field with external customers.
