Job Description:
Senior Staff Software Engineer, Research Systems (Lead Business Analyst)

Responsibilities:
- Allocate and coordinate resources to meet project timelines and business goals.
- Lead business analysis and participate in evaluations for new/updated applications.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess effectiveness and optimize ongoing operations.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to support assigned projects.
- Serve as liaison across Research to facilitate digital solutions advancing drug development.
- May coordinate small groups/infrastructure areas or independently manage a small subsidiary.
- Accountable for monthly progress against agreed deadlines toward business objectives.
- Work with manager to assign objectives for team and business-area changes/updates.
- Work on directed projects; participate as a project team member in Projects.
- With guidance, act as technical spokesperson to the business.
- May coordinate geographically defined contributor groups and conduct professional appraisals.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Partner with research scientists to understand drug discovery workflow; gather aligned requirements/use cases.
- Analyze resource requirements, negotiate prioritization, support strategic initiatives.
- Provide analysis for buy/build/integrate decisions; participate in architecture/security/design reviews.
- Define solutions enhancing mature C# software; oversee test scenario creation.
- Support user acceptance; coordinate deployment/rollout, implementation, communications, and training.
- Assess impact/effectiveness; manage enhancements and defect analysis.
- Ensure systems support research data integrity and propose/deploy software value/effectiveness metrics.
- Prepare training/documentation; provide day-to-day end-user support.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree + 6+ years relevant experience; OR Masterโ€™s degree + 4+ years; OR PhD + 0+ years.
- Preferred: Computer Science, Biological Sciences, structural biology, computational chemistry, or related discipline.
