Role Summary

Senior Specialty Representative – Rheumatology for New Orleans, Louisiana. Territory includes New Orleans, LA. Verantwortlich for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager and serving as the primary customer contact to provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
  • Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities, conduct territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle and build the brand while serving patients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning
  • Leverage knowledge of disease states, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales or non-sales healthcare/scientific experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales or non-sales healthcare/scientific experience OR high school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or non-sales healthcare/scientific experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales with exposure to oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, or related fields; Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration; adaptable to core competencies such as Planning, Knowledge, Communication, Results, and Relationship Building
