Responsibilities (Senior Specialty Representative):
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts: tailor discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales effectiveness and territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Partner to share best practices and continuously develop as a Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative.
- Maintain product passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient service central.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience; OR Associate degree and 6 years; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience; pre-graduate sales or leadership training; success under pressure.
- “Hunter’s mindset”; strong communication/storytelling/persuasion; influence diverse audiences.
- Passion for sales, relationship-building, improving patient outcomes.
- Curiosity/learning agility; resilience/adaptability; entrepreneurial spirit.
- Interest in long-term pharmaceutical sales career (cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Integrity, professionalism, accountability; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration; local market knowledge.
