Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care in Minneapolis, MN. Responsible for providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals, promoting products, and navigating the payer environment. Acts as the primary customer contact and implements marketing strategy under the District Manager’s guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities, conduct territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and learn and grow in the role.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, uphold brand, and focus on patient service.

What We Expect Of You
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare; product/hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; and related diseases and treatments.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills; ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, adaptability, and desire to build a long-term pharmaceutical sales career.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration; local market knowledge; core competencies in sales, knowledge leveraging, communication, results, and relationships.
