Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative - Inflammation/Rheumatology in Charlotte, NC. Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and implement marketing strategy under guidance of the District Manager to achieve territory sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals
- Lead to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Maintain passion for the products and sustain engagement throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continually learn to grow in the role
- Leverage knowledge of disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver results
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry product or hospital sales experience
- Experience in rheumatology, inflammation, and related diseases and treatments
- Hunter sales experience outside pharma
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
