Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative for Cardiovascular — Kansas City North, MO. Responsible for delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals, promoting products, and executing marketing strategy under the guidance of the District Manager. Territory includes Kansas City North, Liberty, and St. Joseph, MO. Relocation is not offered.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
- Lead sales efforts to achieve territory sales goals by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagements
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities, conduct territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role
- Demonstrate and sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while upholding the brand and patient focus

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field; OR Associate degree and 6 years of relevant experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience
- Preferred: More than 3 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and/or clinical roles in pharma/biotech/diagnostics or related industries; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, or related fields; advanced influencing and relationship-building skills; local market knowledge; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration; adaptability with core competencies in sales planning, knowledge leveraging, communication, results, and relationship cultivation
