Role Summary
Senior Specialty Representative for Cardiovascular in Brooklyn, NY. Primary customer contact delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and navigating the payer environment. Implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as directed by the District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving/exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts: customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative
- Demonstrate passion for products and sustain it through the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field, or Associate degree with 6 years of sales/clinical experience, or High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales/clinical experience
- Preferred: More than 3 years’ Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience in pharma/biotech/diagnostics/healthcare industries; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; advanced influencing and relationship-building skills; local market knowledge; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration; adaptability with core sales competencies
