Senior Specialist, DDT–Lab Automation, Lab Automation / Controls Engineer (SCADA/Ignition) (Onsite)

Role: Senior Specialist, Laboratory Automation / Controls Engineer, supporting digital transformation within biopharmaceutical R&D labs. Responsibilities: design and deploy SCADA-based solutions (e.g., Ignition) to connect laboratory equipment, workflows, and data; translate scientific processes into scalable digital systems; lead integration of instruments and automation platforms; improve platform performance and reliability; mentor colleagues and establish best practices; manage end-to-end automation project delivery. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field; at least 4 years' experience in automation design, supporting pharma, biopharma, or vaccines manufacturing; proficiency with SCADA systems (Ignition, DeltaV, WinCC OA); scripting skills (Python, C#, VBA, JavaScript, R); understanding of automation hardware (PLCs, microcontrollers); effective communication and project ownership. Preferred: experience in process R&D or manufacturing, advanced scripting, data science, AI/ML, and IT networking; familiarity with pharmaceutical development stages and GxP standards.
