Senior Software Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Software Engineering Manager and business stakeholders to deliver applications for Lab workflows (Pathology, Genetics, Quality Evidence).
- Gather requirements, design technical implementations, and convert designs into functional code.
- Test functionality and support Quality Assurance to ensure solutions are defect-free.
- Monitor incident tickets, prioritize resolutions with users, and document outcomes.
- Perform code reviews; provide input to improve team code quality.
- Support releases with Cloud/DevOps; provide engineering support for existing applications through retirement.
- Fix defects, improve application quality/performance, and stay current on software development trends.
- Analyze/solve complex technical problems (quality, performance, scalability).
- Collaborate with product management and QA; assist with timeline/resource estimates.
- Mentor junior developers; support related duties/special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications / Skills:
- BS in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
- 5–7 years core Java and enterprise application development (Spring Boot).
- JavaScript (front/back end); Vue or React/SPA.
- Interactive UX-focused application design.
- Relational DBs, SQL, ORM (MySQL/Postgres); REST API design/integration.
- Authentication/security (OIDC/OAuth 2), encryption; clean maintainable code.
- Unit testing experience.
- Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Git; CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Cloud services (AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3; GCP/Azure equivalents).
- Agile experience; problem-solving, analytical, and strong collaboration/communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Java EE certification; AI tool experience (Cursor AI).
- Build tools (e.g., Maven).
- Advanced complex SQL for MySQL/Postgres.
- Independent diagnosis/root-cause troubleshooting.
- HIPAA compliance and quality/regulatory focus.

Notes:
- Periodic travel; some evenings/weekends/holidays; possible after-hours/on-call emergency response.
