Set Up mechanic II will serve as the subject matter expert for packaging equipment, responsible for set-up, changeover, troubleshooting, and efficient operation while adhering to safety protocols. Provide specialized maintenance, repair, and reliability for packaging and filling machinery and support other business areas as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Follow GMP and SOP guidelines; comply with safety/OSHA/FDA regulations. Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs; minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
- Coordinate packaging schedule and changeovers. Ensure change parts are clean (as needed, request cleaning). Install change parts; set up bottle unscrambler/capper and adjust guide rails for bottle size.
- Check slat counter and powder fillers setup; review HMI parameters and adjust as required.
- Set up and operate label machine, induction seal machine, outset machine, and cap torque per PBR.
- Assist with special projects/maintenance; support line/equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts.
- Knowledge of Track and Trace systems on label machine, 360 station, aggregation, and pallet station.
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Set automatic cap rejection center for high/crooked and no-cap/foil rejection per bottle size.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (Required).
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and/or maintenance repair.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $29.00β$38.00 (plus short-term incentive/bonus opportunity within first 12 months).
